Doral's an awesome place. I see it as a home field advantage for Trump and the United States.

For the Red Hats, it is always team over Constitution, in every instance.   They don't believe in the rule of law, which elevates “us” to the level of  “me”.

So, is this where I should ask about lefties being unwilling to control immigration?
How about sanctuary cities?
I've been watching lefties twist things to say what they want for a long time.
He's not doing anything wrong..

 Also wrong.

So since someone else out there commits a crime equal to or worse than I do then mine should be ok.  I'm not doing anything wrong.

Hosting an event at an internationally recognized facility is hardly on the level of violating the emoluments clause. Whatever financial gain Trump could make from the event would barely be noticeable so there doesn't appear to be a personal profit or power motive which is at the heart of the clause. Congress could remove all doubt and vote its consent which of course will not happen given the 'destroy Trump even if we destroy the nation' nature of the Democratic Congress.

The definition of emolument at the time of it's introduction to the US Constitution, to me, does not exclusively mean money or "financial gain".  They already indicated they would host "at cost".

Any advantage or benefit, to me, is part of the clause and hosting at owned property, to me, is an advantage.  Like a home-field advantage.

"At cost" is never at cost...  but even if it was,...
Emoluments are a thing of value...
"Profit; advantage; gain in general; that which promotes the good of any person or thing."
Even the publicity and prestige of having the G7 at Doral is a thing of value.

I think, if this is not retracted, there will be a G6 held outside the US in place of this event.
Trump says he won't discuss Climate Change anyway.
G6 will shut him out.
