I do not feel it is my position to interpret their statements for them.
This is interesting discussion.
I don’t have kids, I am not a professional teacher, yet I see/teach two small groups of kids twice a year.
I Personally have noticed a change in attitude and behavior, to the worse,
less respect, less knowledge, less responsibility just to name a few, in the last 38 years.
I would also like to see what a group of students say about this subject.
Is it is lack of or poor teaching by parents/teachers/people they interact with ?
Is it prescribed drugs ?
Is it portable phones and texting ?
Is it lack of sandboxes and tree houses ?
I do not believe anyone asked, that a student was identified by name, date, time, place.
Could it just be:
Student 1 said … … …
Student 2 said: … … … “…I do not feel it is my position to interpret their statements for them…”Nobody asked you to,
“interpret their statements”, in fact,
‘interpreting statements’, are best left to the likes of Chicken Noodle News.
Reminds me of a local broadcast news station, a commercial of theirs, when a anchor said:
"And We Will Interrupt The News For You, So You Don’t Have To”. Which lasted one day.
(I highly suspect I was not the ONLY phone call LOLOLOLOLOLOL)
Oh, I did not make up Chicken Noodle News
