Schools can not force that parent to make their child take any medication. They do not "force feed" children anything.

Also this article being 19 years old doesn't address the legal changes that have happened since then.

Now that doesn't mean more funding is not allocated to schools fulfilling numbers in certain specialties, such as "Magnet Schools" which are consistently abusing the funding system.

Nobody has said public schoolboards have not manipulated numbers to get more funding, but the idea that public schools instruct staff to hold down children and "force feed" medications into those children's bodies is incorrect.

The idea that public schools require parents put medication into children's bodies is illegal, and incorrect.

I "hang out" with kids all the time. For years I have indicated here that high-school aged kids use my shop and associated resources as part of a youth-development and youth-rehabilitation program.

They even use this very forum, and some even have opinions on this topic.

"I knew one, hung out, and he told me how it is."

Sounds like a guy who says "I know a guy who had a motorcycle, I hung out with him, he told me how it is." Does that really sound like someone who knows a lot about the massive amount of motorcycle variables out there?

You are quite literally saying this one kid you hung out with is an authority on how millions of kids across the country experience school. Nobody is going to take that seriously.

Yeah.

I also don't think the couple of hundred kids I've worked with any decent degree of accuracy know how kids in Chicago, Miami, Houston, Cheyanne, or any other school district are impacted by the continuously changing school boards and separate legal structures each state has.

When I hear "We are treated like X, or Y", or that they see this or that, I ask them how they can create a direct nexus for their experiences with students at a school district in Alabama. They don't have an answer for that.
