Regulator/Rectifier Placement
09/26/19 at 11:39:11
In order to get my build troubleshot and up and running as quickly as possible, I mounted the reg/rec on the front of the battery case under the carb (on the front side - cooling fins facing forward toward the motor). Will it get too hot there and fry it? (You can see it in the pic behind the wires) There is adequate space there but I wasn’t sure if the heat from the motor would be too much. Has anyone else used this placement with success?

It does get pretty warm in that area, especially when your stuck in traffic. It doesn't seem to bother the battery. Chance um.
