Early on I made aluminum rear axle spacers to replace the stock ones. All well and good until Drag Bike Mike came up with the elegant solution to the eventual 'dreaded pulley wobble' involving using a double wide pulley carrier bearing and cutting down the left side axle spacer. Luckily, I was able to cut down my aluminum left hand spacer. Did a bit of head scratching, and decided that I should install both the outer and the inner (the Gazinta) spacers into the opposite sides of the double wide bearing with red Loctite. The outer spacer now has a reduced part that fits into the double wide bearing. Logic here being that once those spacers are stuck in the double wide bearing for life, they provide a REALLY long surface area for the rear axle to ride on, making the 'dreaded pulley wobble' almost impossible.
