Is this normal?
09/11/19 at 02:29:25

My engine didn't start and I had littel or no compression. So after a lot of effort I removed the upper part of the engine. Now, it doesn't look quite like I expected. Huh

1 of those round things seems damaged. Sad
Is it normal that it all looks so rough?
And can it be the cause that the engine won,t start? Undecided

Is it April 1st?

No, not normal. Looks like you engine ingested an intake valve. The valve itself probably failed or the retaining clip came loose.

You're in for some money on this one. A complete new head assembly (the combustion chamber is chewed up) and probably a new piston.

How old (and what condition) is the bike?

I would get a raptor petcock installed.  While you're at it, rebuild your carb, do the white spacer mod and put the biggest jets you can find in there.  It will probably start after that.  If doesn't seem to run right, make sure you know how to shift right.  These bikes don't run right if you shift at the wrong speed.

You're welcome and have a nice day.

Ok thanks, It is reassuring  that a raptor petcock and a carb rebuild will fix this. But i dont think an 747 wil fit in there.
I'm going to practice shifting.

I lost my eggtimer, so I,m not shure what date it is.

It was; the petcock, a to small airplane, and poor schifting, that made it start bad.

Dear members, My apology for this topic. I bought the head for $ 5. My intention is to use it, to practice flowing.

Just put some JB Weld over the port with the bad valve. After all, there is another one.
