 Unfortunately market shares will react to this type of nonsense while business management do not.  Anyone that believes China is paying for tariffs is very misinformed.  Anyone that thinks the US can produce the same volume as China with our current labor pool and infrastructure is very misinformed.  It would take considerable time to get close.

 I am not against improvements to trade, including tariffs, but bonehead statements like the one above do nothing for actual trade.

Nothing surprises me anymore from that orange buffoon.

All national politicians are by nature egomaniacs. Joe Biden would probably die in office but he's running. Beto O'idiot  has zero chance to be elected and turned down chance to run for Senate again because his self-reality doesn't match reality.

I'm a Trump fan soley because he was the only one ho could have stopped Hillary or Jeb Bush. I remain a fan, despite the difficulties, because the alternative of socialist soft communist like Warren, Harris, etc is not an option.

I'm not worried about a statement like that because no business leader is going to take it seriously. The only ones who will are the leftist media and fund managers who sit around and talk during their circle jerks. My company has a plant in China and has invested serious capital on growing the Asian market. We don't import products from China, we sell them in Asia. The people who run my company are smart. We've been dominating our competition for past 10 years now since this group came on board. They probably chuckled at Trump's comment and continued on doing what they want. But come next November, they'll vote for him again.

What's really telling about what you wrote is that you admit that the only reason you voted for trump was against hillary and jeb.  Then you go on to admit that your own bosses just care about profit and nothing else.  

Investing in Asia is their goal.  They (you) don't care about building up America.  You put profit over everything else.

What's lacking in your post is also telling.  You don't mention the people of the US at all.  They're just not important to you.
