It's a mathematics approach to analyzing the threat, mitigating the threat and deciding what to do

Someone posted this before.  I stand by my assessment made the first time.

Nobody should believe we count only the purchased vehicle in-road-use as 100% of its carbon offset by just not driving it.

Again:  The spirit of the article/video is sound, but it's not entirely correct.  Did anyone bother to watch the full hour or just the segment?

And nobody does.

I don't know how to even start.
The thing about the cars is
Even IF you ditched them
It changes nothing.

If changing our lives like that accomplishes nothing
Then what will?
Instead of straining at it, understand it.
It's a calculated amount of co2 that supposedly increases temperature one degree.
Do you agree with that?

"And nobody does."

Except anyone that runs the numbers presented in the video will find that's exactly what they did.

 Yes.

You know, I was impressed by the stories of how people will lite a candle in the apartment to keep warm.
Yes that's a closed system vs. out in the wild.
But that's what we have, people all over the world lighting off trash cans to keep warm.
Or burning coal to generate electricity to run a/c to keep cool.

So the eggsperts say that ah, no co2 problem solved, no heat will be retained... BS
People all over the world still have that candle lit... mega tons of coal, mega gallons of gas.
