Hardtail/rigid struts with no mods (links inside)

I managed to find rigid struts that will fit with no mods, you just need to add in some bushings.  I know a lot of you don't like the hardtail/rigid strut idea, but for those of you that do, here is what I did.

I didn't want to get some made, so I did some digging.  Turns out that Honda VT750 posts for their shocks are 16mm.  With ours being 14mm I set out to see if there was a bushing that would fit in there.  First I took the bushings out of our stock shocks.  I removed the rubber around the bushings, but those bushings seem to have an outside diameter of 17.5mm roughly.  So I then went on the hunt for bushings that I could purchase.  Below is a link to the hardtail/rigid struts I used, along with a link to the busings I used.  You may also need an additional 14mm washer depending on the thicknerss of the struts you buy.

Well, my bike is still not all together yet.  Just got done painting the tank and need to 2k clear coat it, seat is all missing but ready to go on after the tank, new handlebars will be in this week, and still deciding on where I am going to hide my electronics (hopefully) in a dummy oil tank but don't have that yet).  Once I get it somewhat back together I will post a pic of the whole bike, but I will take some pics of the struts on in the morning.  Grin
