won't think for a femtosecond that you will ever understand.  To a degree, I won't either.  But I do know this - African Americans, when being confronted by police are dealt with deadly force far more often than necessary or when compared to whites.

 Statistically it is when comparing to whites.  I'm not sure there is a way, at this time, to evaluate accurately "more than necessary".

 This will change once an independent contractor is allowed to upload body-cam footage and present it to multiple panels for review.

"But why would body cam footage change it?"

 Empirical evidence.  No more witness statements, victim or officer statements.  The footage presents an actual event measurable in real time with actual not "recalled" dialogue.  

 Of course "necessary" will still be up for debate so each event would require multiple evaluations from diverse and educated panels.

 For instance it would be easy to evaluate how necessary shooting a suspect is if the footage clearly shows the suspect kneeling with his hands up saying "I give up" followed with 6 shots to the head and body.

 No matter how many officer statements say he was running at the officer the camera footage with the exception of heavily edited and CGI modification would provide more accurate evidence.

 It would be more difficult to establish how "necessary" a shooting is if a suspect is standing, has said he has a gun and is not raising his hands.  However no amount of witness testimony that the suspect was kneeling down pleading for his life would impact a proper evaluation.

Go watch the footage and then educate yourself on the proper use of "their", "there" and "they're" - it makes you look stupid.
