The Bible talks of the cedars in Lebanon.....etc.

I really haven't researched it, etc....but am I to guess this area once held lots of forest?

I think it's obvious we're nearing a point of no return when it comes to climate change (well, it's obvious to me, anyway).

The "greening" of the Planet will be inevitable due to the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere.

But from what I've seen, this greening might be a short term gain.  With climate change affecting weather patterns, the results of extreme weather could knock the greening benefits off the table.

While, yes, it's great that these trees are being planted, it's still important to note that Asia is producing gigatons of CO2, with no curtailing in sight.
