Vortec, congratulations and you'll have to keep us informed about the new bike.  Many of us are interested in all bikes in general and I'm always interested in what they now call middle weight bikes.  So, looking forward to reading about your experiences with the Harley.

I've always found the 'sweet spot' in bikes to be 500 to 750 cc. Never understood the appeal of 140mph on the street! cheers! Cool

It's a very fun bike to ride.  It is a bit heavy at just over 500 pounds but it rides light.  Steering is fast and responsive.  Brakes are very good as are tires and suspension.  Suspension is a bit stiff but at only 150 pounds just about all bikes feel stiff to me.  Forks definitely need lesser spring rate for me, though I have not checked Race Sag yet...  Just did - 14% F/R - Crazy stiff!

The engine makes TQ from idle to top and is smooth with no real vibration.  Tranny is six-speed close-ratio and overall gearing is short so ample power all the time.  Engine sound is marvelous!

The most fun part is nobody around here knows what it is...
