Yes - HDs attempt at a naked sport bike.  Pretty good on the dyno:

They do remind me very much of the 80's Honda Shadow 500 and 750.
V-twin, water cooled, 6 speed.
The Honda's were shaft drive instead of belt,... and surprisingly had hydraulic lifters.
They were actually pretty impressive bikes. Styling aside.

They'll probably hold up longer than Harley's air-cooled line-up.
Enjoy your new ride... Cool

I see the Harley wins the 4,000 rpm punch !    Is that about 65 mph ?
Huh

Here is an engine speed versus bike speed chart I made.  At 4,000 RPM 55 MPH in fifth gear and 62 MPH in sixth gear.  This engine make good torque right across the board and right where I need and want it.

The engine will pull fourth gear at 25-30 MPH with the close-ratio tranny and the overall gearing is pretty short.

The engine sounds marvelous!  Though it is a 60-degree instead pf 45-degree the rods still share the same crank journal so up until about 3,000-3,500 RPM it sounds like a small HD.  After that and up to 9,000 RPM it sounds like few other bikes.

The Street Rod has higher compression, better heads, better cams, and 2x42mm throttle bodies instead of just one 38mm.

Here is the associated dyno chart for HP.  Pretty competitive for what it is.  I did not buy it to compete with modern sport bikes because it will not.  I bought it because it is odd and rare and unique and priced right.

...............................................

I sat on one of them at the Harley shop and know they have a 500 version of the same thing.   Really I had an Idea the 500 version might be a real fuel saver with ample power.   Well , I'm to long legged to fit it , but it sure seemed like a good idea till the "seat-pegs spacing"  didn't work out !

I think your going to like it , its good to have more than one bike !  Smiley

The Street 500 is completely different as it is the same as the Street 750 but with a smaller displacement.  The Street Rod chassis and engine is quite a bit different.

Street Rod has higher CR, better heads, better cams, and dual throttle bodies.  Makes 8% more TQ and 18% more HP than standard Street 750.  Dyno test comparison here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ki_71Vxykwc

Some more data here:  https://www.hotbikeweb.com/harley-davidson-street-rod-vs-street#page-2

and here:  https://news.maxabout.com/bike-comparisons/harley-davidson-street-750-vs-street
-rod

Street Rod also has USD forks, triple disk brakes, etc.  The Street Rod is a bit odd and rare - Sort of like a Poor Man's XR1200.

According to S&S an intake and exhaust change along with tuner results in a 10% increase in power.  Puts this thing just about at 70 RWHP.

Again it is not really competitive with 600cc sport bikes but who cares...

Heck ! If it was all about " H P then we would all have Suzuki GSX-R's .  Roll Eyes

..............................

Smiles don't always come from the Race-Track .   That 750 HD is plenty bike for anywhere you want to go .

I don't like getting Speeding tickets and/or Reckless-Driving tickets and the insurance premiums that go with those tickets.

Besides , 50HP will run 100 mph anytime ya want to.  Roll Eyes

But sometimes they do and you don't even need 50 hp to get them...
