I don't remember it being heavy .... just fast and the low end pulling of them fat pistons . It had a 7500 red-line .

From Yamaha's manual, XS 650E 467# dry. As you say it didn't seem heavy, maybe low C.G. I fitted lower handlebars to it, not so "sit up and beg" God knows why I sold it :'(.

My fillings are gone...from my Savage!!

I had a 71 TR6R Tiger. Single carb, shifter on the right, the brake pedal on the left and high beam switch on the headlight. It was awesome and didn't ride any worse than my LS650. My only real complaint was that I had to work on it an hour for every hour and a half I rode it.
