 While I do not feel the same way JoG does about trangenders crippling society as I do not feel there is ample evidence to support that at this time.  Besides gender neutral bathrooms, I am not aware of other requirements being made of him in regards to transgender.

 I do however think that this is incorrect:

 Historically in the US people who feel like "outsiders" or are otherwise ostracized from society do not seek mental healthcare.  The seek drug/alcohol related coping mechanisms, suicide or violence.  An adolescent today is more likely to commit suicide, steal and consume narcotics, or shoot up their school than go make a meeting with an adult counselor and sign up for mental healthcare.

 Again, focusing exclusively on biology addresses half the problem and will not resolve any psychological issues, if any exist to begin with.
