I am on another forum about boating.
I noticed the other day a post asking about two american made boats, which was seeking advice, from a person in Russia.
His post count was brand new.
The hair on the back of my neck was starting to stand up.
After getting replies from folks, using almost what appeared to me a orchestrated method of butchering our English grammar, it was just too uniformed....
He then posted a link, with supposedly the two boats "ads" at another hyperlink, so folks could see the boats he was referring to.
Man, at that point, I though....not good.
I contacted the site owner and he did inform me they had no way at all to ascertain any of the links people post, their software does not support that.
That folks are pretty much on their own, and he said that is why folks really need to pay attention to the historical postings, etc, of members who use those boards to interact, etc.....
I wonder if site management might deploy a system like they do with posting pictures, you have to have so many post, before it allows you that privilege, to curtail people who just want to post graphic stuff and porn, etc, for their own kicks?
Just passing it on
