I rode with crutches for a while and had to time the traffic lights so as not to stop.  I'm smarter now. Grin

Be careful of what?   Huh Huh

There's no reason that guy can't ride a bike.  People find ways to adapt .

That bike sure looks like it could be a Savage.  What other bike has a big fat belt on the left side? Huh

Not sure but the pulley looks a bit smaller than ours.

Some years ago I saw a rider with one arm and one leg racing, he had survived a massive crash with a truck. He didn't win any race, but you have to admire his courage. The man was Australian.

Harleys, except for Sportsters, which have the belt on the right.

I'd be more concerned about that rear tire than the guy's wooden leg. Lips Sealed

I like the looks of that rear tire.  Smiley

Looks like it might last a nice long time with that kinda profile  Wink

Harley belts are only 2/3rd the width of the Savage - the Kawasaki 500 Vulcan and KZ750 are the only other bikes that use the same width belt as the Savage.

I owned that Vulcan........chain! That's the bike that proved to me I wasn't a cruiser guy, and why I believe the S40 is a 'standard', not a cruiser. cheers! Cool

Not sure what years had the belts and what years had chains.

The 25 tooth front pulley that I machine to fit the Savage comes from the EN454/Vulcan 500 model(s).

But if it's a Savage, it's sporting a springer. Aren't those the spring caps peeking over the pack?

And wouldn't it need a footboard, at least on the left. Kinda hard to balance a peg leg on a foot peg.
