I was a big fan of the "Night Tripper" going back to my youth. Even today when I  DJ, when you play "Right Place, Wrong Time" it brings folks to the dance floor, oldsters from their remembrance, young kids because it's just infectious. The "Dr. John plays Max Rubinac" album is one I love and a classic. The production is bare and his true talent shines through. He was an American Original and his work not only as a solo artist, but his contributions as a session player across many genre of music leaves a legacy that is little matched.
