WTB 96era tank

Hi All,
I'm looking for a decent tank for a '96 Savage (or equivalent year range).  Don't care what color as it will be repainted. Just needs to not be rusted beyond use.
I wanted to post the WTB here before I go out to eBay.

I will posting a 05 tank for sale at some point, but ping me if interested before I get to making a separate post.

Many thanks!
Patrick

You have a tank that you will be selling - but need another tank?

Are you looking to have one to ride while you paint the other one?

I have some badly dented tanks I could sell cheaply.

Hi Dave,
No, I recently bought a 96 that has a poorly fitting 05 tank on it.  Apparently there was "just" enough of a design diff starting in 05 that makes it not really fit right.

I want to get things back to as original as possible.  This will be my son & my "winter project" bike to restore.

I don't know of any changes to the frame or mounts or tank.....from any year to any other year should just be a bolt on.

I'll probably be selling a complete set of tins from a black 06.  No dents or deep scratches.  They just need a good waxing.

I didn't think there was any difference in tanks over the years either.

hmm... k, showing my noobie ignorance ... I just bought this bike and it had been "blended" a 05 (front/rear fender, and 1-piece seat) which didn't really fit cleanly.
I have the original fenders, which I will be putting back on, then will see what fits or doesn't.

Thanks all... this is gonna be a fun project Smiley

Cheers,
Patrick
