That's NOT how the law works.
Nobody is CERTAIN that You haven't committed a crime. But they can't indict you, because there is insufficient evidence OF a crime.
Just because a lawyer says something, that doesn't mean it's supportable by rational people.
Mueller would have been better off if he had just retired and not said anything. If you started out your press conference by saying the report speaks for itself, then let it do just that and go fishing.... This is where Trump's mouth gets him into trouble. Call anyone names for a couple years like he did to Mueller and if they get a chance to fire back, they will. That's what Mueller did at his press conference. He fired a belly shot into Trump with that stupid comment. Maybe Trump will die from his wounds, maybe he won't, but Muller got his revenge.
The bottom line is a sitting President is never going to be indicted for duties related to his office and if he were, it would most likely eventually get tossed out years down the line in a Supreme Court decision. Everyone is NOT equal under the law. The President and to a lesser extend, the Vice President, do not stand on the same legal ground as the rest of us do, while they're still in office.
But the solution is impeachment. So I say the Dems should go ahead, start talking about it. Hold hearings in the Judicial Committee. Give The Beluga Whale, Nadler, the camera time he wants. If they vote it out of committee and it goes to the full house, I'm not sure how it would turn out. We do have an election coming up which is a defacto impeachment because you know the Senate will never vote to remove him from office. Besides, by the time all that happens, the election will be at their doorstep.
If the country doesn't want Trump anymore, he'll lose, basically impeached by the people. If they do, he'll win.
