The Cuban .. HD Touring Muffler Install

Installed a HD stock, unmolested touring muffler 65547-09a (nicknamed The Cuban) over the weekend. I thought I'd need to re-jet but after a slight tune, the bike is running great. I've dropped some K's testing the new set up by riding around back roads, in town (including rush hour traffic), and on the motorway. So far the old girl is running reasonably strong. I do have a small exhaust leak at the join which I hope to deal with over the next day or so. Hopefully once sorted, she should run even better.

Sound wise, it's slight louder than my stock with a deeper note. It does drone a little if your running at a mid rev's in 3rd, but this drops off dramatically with a gear change.

The install was relatively easy with the needed parts to mount being cheap and easily found at Home Depot and Ace's hardware. I can do a write up if needed.

Has anyone else installed the same or similar muffler? If so, what is/was your experience with it?

It's off a Full Dresser is my guess , you probably aren't saving much weight , and it may make things a bit harder changing the rear tire ( you could reverse the axle) , but it should work fine.

I’m lovin’ that muffler.  Lots of volume to store the hot gas and bleed it off.  I think it looks good too.
