Actually I know exactly where you live and who you are. Middle class white guy living in a safe neighborhood. Good for you, take care of your family first.

Poverty is just one factor and the truth is while not necessarily race but culture is a big factor in violent neighborhoods. You cannot seriously address violent neighborhoods if you think poverty is the dominant factor.
