I think if the parameter of "I give what I get." is in play then there will always be two people who refuse to stay within the limit of good taste.

For every person with that parameter we can add one more to that number. The only way to reduce the numbers is to respond respectfully without need of reciprocation.

It's not required, it's just how the math works out.

If I were to say "I will state my negative opinions about Howard Stern and his radiohead Followers." isn't that sentence including Stern AND followers?

Is it specifically that I mentioned one person (Stern) that I can no longer include family of Stern and remain honest in that sentence?

What if Stern's family follow him and listen to his radio programming?

What if Trump's family have worn red hats or think he can Make America Great Again?
