"However, the question posed is regarding this recent measles outbreak.  Washington state reported a large number of outbreaks that had nothing to do with immigrants and more to do with kids exposed to the virus that weren't vaccinated.

I'm not saying that it has no effect - of course it would.  But equally "dangerous" are those visiting legally"

I agree.  This recent case is as far as anyone knows exclusively introduced by US citizens.

What are the lasting side effects of the swelling of the brain, if any.
The CDC is pointing out that if everyone gets the measles vaccination, then a visit (legal or illegal) by an infected person will not cause any infections - a sensible goal.  To those who decline vaccinating their children, the parent bears the moral  responsibility if their child dies or becomes "damaged" and in fact should bear the financial responsibility also.
Measles in adults is a follow up issue, as unvaccinated chillens might grow up and if  they are infected, the results can be devastating.

My hypocritical statements?  Where's your proof?
(I tell you what mn, you go find some examples and I might just give you that bobber)

But once again, you're turning into more of a bother than you're worth.

You offer nothing to the conversation, you make no sense most of the time, you constantly hijack threads and you have zero grasp of the issues.

At this point, you've become nothing more than a small bit of entertainment or curiosity.

It's a good thing vers is your buddy, he might call you a troll otherwise...
