Seems to me that you're letting fox news tell you that democratic socialism is the exact same as pure socialism. It's not. It's never been. The fact that we have socialist components in our government is proof of that. Some of the most popular and helpful programs in this country are socialist in nature. That doesn't make us a socialist country - and it never will.

Gang, that is growth.....just like each and everyone of us can grow if we are honest with facing our OWN problems and issues, head on, admitting our faults, accepting our blame, and being thankful we had the opportunity to grow and overcome ourselves......

The green deal is fantasy to the nth degree, but I think most if not all of the Democratic candidates (at least at the time) jumped on board to one degree or another. It's the equivalent of a child wishing on a star and adults taking in seriously. I don't believe anyone else could make such ridiculous claims as in this deal and not get laughed out of DC. She did.

does the green deal need work, yeah probably. but judging from your lack of understanding, which is understandable since you probably use Fox News as your main information source, I just think you're ignorant of the actual facts, as am I, I haven't studied the green deal, but at least it's a step in the right direction, embracing science instead of ignoring it and demeaning it

I think you misunderstand ray. The smear job - negative ads and shear volume of spending - went against Obama in 2010. Like mitch said, their job was to make Obama a one-term president. They did everything but.

I've told Sew for years his side will win the war; that Trump has only won a 4 or 8 year delay. Perhaps its AOC who'll eventually be leader who delivers the left their final victory.

AOC has a high probability of turning into a popular leader with hundreds of thousands, millions of followers. She could rise to unprecedented power if the green, leftist environment of today continues its trend.

And when I refuse to live my life by her dictates, what then? She'll do what all socialist dictators do, she'll have no choice, she will enforce her will down the barrel of a gun.

I know you are being sarcastic, but you are actually quite right.

One of the principal tenants of liberal, progressive, socialist, whatever you want to call it, theology, is the disarmament of every one who is not a member of the ruling elite or the agents of same.

Take a moment and reflect on how that's worked out for the ordinary citizens wherever it;s been accomplished. Once a government has a monopoly on the use of force it pretty much has a monopoly on everything else.

Leftist will eventually need to use violence like all socialist end up doing. Its the only way you'll be able to enforce your will against those who want freedom. Its actually already beginning. You're beginning to talk about legal remedies against speech. Climate deniers, delayers etc... anyone with weird opinions on vaccines (which I don't but I'm not going to punish someone who has those ideas), gun ownership laws, gun registrars...

At some point early in the cycle of death, there is opposition that correctly sees the future catastrophe coming while most everyone else sees future prosperity. The whole progressive, utopian edifice, constructed on a foundation of fantasy, rather than reality,will eventually collapse.When the dust settles whoever is left will pick up the pieces and start over.
