Clymers versus Suzuki

I know Clymers has a goof in it, but other than that is it any less valuable? Are the instructions and diagrams as good?

I buy Clymers or Haynes for all my vehicles......they really take a lot of the guessing out of the work.

Factory manuals are better - but usually far more expensive.

Then Clymers it is,, thanks
I've still got bruises from kicking myself for letting that clown have that manual, but I really thought my riding days were over...

I always buy every bit of info I can get. If it saves even one hour of labour you are ahead.

Sorry to get your hopes up.....I just looked and I can't find an extra.  I found 2 copies of the manual for the Ninja - so maybe that is what I was thinking of.

That's cool. I appreciate the thought.
Clymers are pretty cheap, nothing like the official SueZuki version.
Is it more than just which way to turn the motor getting TDC that's wrong?
Dude at the dealership said the forks had some minor differences inside.

He knew the name of the parts on the microfiche. I say
What's number 12
He say the name
Then scoot the screen and show me.
They have three on the floor right now.
Last year I saw two.
They seem pretty familiar with them.
Not saying they have the best answers.
That's what this buncha guys are for.

It sounds like their trying to scare you into buying their parts for a rebuild ,rather than after market (-cheaper). I can't see any difference in the internal fork parts.
                                                maybe fork oil? Smiley

The only fork difference I know of.....is the little plastic shields that go on top of the lowers - the aluminum has a machined lip for the shields to snap into.
