It's misdiagnosed As a head gasket, often, even by dealerships. The upside is, it's most likely the 5,000 mile valve adjustment was actually done. Sadly, by someone who couldn't button it up right. It's not a big deal.

Posts: 3806 osceola new york Gender:	Re: Looking at a 2006 650cc Reply #4 - 01/13/19 at 21:54:41 There are two other places oil might leak nearby, the rubber head plug, or the front and rear head bolts( They are studs, centered in the head ,near the exhaust header and the carb)and face downward and sometimes weep. All three leaks are easy to fix . we have never seen a blown head gasket on one of these bikes.

One blown head gasket ( out of over 8000 owner/ members), but this bike that he's looking at is stock ,6800 miles , If it has a blown head gasket I'll eat it.(I'll mail him a new one -free)
