The savage carb is fairly straight forward. It's a simple disassemble-clean-reassemble process.

I need to clean the carbs on my GS500 , well its a two hour job to get them off . The Savage/S-40 take 15 minutes to get off. Once on the work bench everything is easy !

The GS500 carb is not any more difficult/easy to remove or work on than the Savage, just takes a while the first time.
