OK , Dave is justly proud of his BMW ,

Its fast , fast , fast , and keeping tires on it might be a challenging ?

But to be fair ....

Dave didn't run off like he could have , while running around with us Slower machines.

That BMW machine has a lot of Great Qualities about it !

That stuff about taking the tire off without pulling the axle proved to be a "Right handy idea" Wink

The Fuel tank is not up high like mine 5.5 gallons up on top , No , the BMW's has a big tank too --- "under the seat" ! Cool

Our fuel light came on about the same time !

And the Luggage on that BMW all comes off and back on again really easy .
I don't know if I could ever buy "Permanent" Luggage again after seeing the benefits of the easy off kind.

Good Choice Dave ! Wink

I'm alive! Sorry, the past couple of weeks have been hectic and I have been missing my forum check-in duties.

As always, Dave and MM summarized the ride pretty good. On Sunday while Dave and MM headed home me, my brother, and my other friend Dave from St. Louis rode for the day. Went NW of Blairsville and first stopped at the Field of the Woods (pictured), then further up NW thendown the dragon from the North, then Chorahala, and back through some new roads we haven't been on before, most of which had almost no traffic. Great day of riding.

Our trip home was uneventful...no rain and little traffic on a Sunday night.

Lastly, the other reason I have been away is I had to take a trip to Southern India (Thiruvananthapuram) for work. Was only there about 24 hours (38 hours on a plane in 3 days!) so not much time to play or shop. I did have a little time to walk down the street before it got too dark to see. A gazillion motorcycles zooming all over the place literally an inch apart going 35mph down the street. Just like you'd expect. Culturally everyone was very nice and you didn't feel like you were a foreigner despite sticking out like a sore thumb. They all learn English in grammar school so it is not hard to communicate and navigate the area unlike other places where English is only learned at will by a select few.

The highlight of my trip and my only goal was to ride a tuk tuk. I did, and it was with every penny of the $0.75 it costs me for the trip.

I love British designs. I'd say I'm a sucker for them except for the fact that I don't (and won't) own them because of how much time, effort and money it takes to keep anything British on the road.
