We are back from the ER.
Don is ok for now.
He was taken off the blood thinners, given vit. K, and had a bladder flush to give him a bit of a start without any blood clots, of which there were several in the bladder, along with lots of blood.
We brought him home and he is feeling better and will be watched by mom so if anything happens he will go right back, and have more scans more labs. The doc thought he likely had a cyst in his bladder that caused all the bleeding.
Thank you all for the prayers, they are much appreciated.

Warfrin use after surgeries is fraught with unfriendly things, really it is ....... The doctors tell you this, but it really doesn't strike home until you have lived through it once.

Good enough to let him leave, I am thinking that is a good sign....

Just a few months away from 66 and claiming my SS benefit, I was thinking of waiting a few more years, but nixed that idea.
I am finding out the best medicine is to stay on top of your health before it becomes more critical.
I need to be better about it, however I seem to find new excuses to beg off.
Not sure if I am unique, or do most folks not take things preventive, waiting till the path of recovery is more stacked against them at reversing the damage from bad habits, etc?

Glad he is home, that in itself is very healing!
