A new city.......would you invest?
11/03/18 at 07:50:21

Here is a article about what I am talking about:

https://bitcoinist.com/millionaire-will-build-blockchain-smart-city-in-nevada/

Been doing a fair amount of reading on the concept.....
The technical side of what its based upon, simply put, circumventing the power of the banking industry with a new system of tangible value, capital, if you will, that is more individualistic, or control, in nature of everyone of us.
Of course the power structure presently is casting lots of scorn and predictions of failure, to outright threats of illegalities of such.

I don't know, this stuff gets WAY OVER MY HEAD........
However, I believe imagination is way more powerful than what we assign, intelligence....which is historical based on preset perimeters, as in, doing the same thing over, and over again, expecting different results.....

No baby, I will cast my lot with the dreamer......

I am thinking about putting some money into this endeavor, even tho at my advanced age, I very much doubt I will see it to its fruition, nor will the amount even be noticeable to their budgeting department  Cheesy
I just need to find a way to transfer it tax free to a system that is really in competition with itself, haha.

Check it out, you got lots of folks who are designing the future, already investing greatly in this location of Nevada.
So much of what they are doing I can see really is the future, it just seems to make sense.

So much of the "world" was built upon the technology of the industrial age which, pun intended, is prehistoric with the invent of the super conductor.

Can you imagine a city that is almost self sustaining and hardly any pollution?

Seems far fetched, for sure, but just stop for a moment and think....
We need to find a way to live that doesn't consume and deplete the very enviroment/things, we need to survive in the first place.....yes?

JOG, you are a BIG naysayer to the banking industry as a whole, having done much study of its influencing in our society, etc....
Tell me, have you looked at this?
Seems "money changers" have always been in the forefront of how a society prospers, or not......
Lots of ill feelings abound around money, yes?

C'mon......

I would expect such from the entrenched, but not a guy who looks for the angles.

Check it out buddy, do some sleuthing.
I am looking for not kool-aid swillers, but folks who have the capacity to look beyond what they already THINK they know...

Look at how this venture addresses so many topical issues, while also not creating more bloating and centralized solutions.

I won't taint you any further, but I respect your inquiring mind Jog, please dig a little, ok?

Oh me gawd.......

If your all gene pool was the prevalent marker, way back at the crack of dawn, we'd still be picking up nuts off the ground to eat and walking around to get anywhere....jeez.

Lets back up......
Maybe I tossed too much at you in one swoop.

Who thinks it might be possible to go to the moon?
To invent a medicine that prevents measles, and polio, and stupid people?

2 outta 3 ain't bad   Grin

edit: maybe John Lennon is better off where he is now, than writing songs for the mindset of folks today  Wink

We ain't stupid, we've just met one too many salesmen.

So back up and sell us one feature.
How does a blockchain (a security scheme) Smart (I guess that means automated) city be pollution free?

C’mon versy, don’t take that flippant smack to heart.....
It was directed at folks who still have 4 track tapes  Grin

Anyway, I never said pollution free, that is not possible, period.
Just the very nature of building structures can be considered a assault on nature and thus, pollution from the lands natural form and existence...

I see reclamation as a big factor, with waste that can’t be, used as a energy source, etc....
Look, what we could learn from this adventure is possibly answers to traveling deeper and further into manned space exploration too.

Guys, just read up....
Guys who put a chunk o’ change into the computer startup’s years ago, have reaped great rewards as well as helping this technology advance to the betterment of all civilization....

Would you agree to that statement?

You're talking to a group that has a bike that the only automatic thing about it is it will shut off when it runs outta gas.

And we get "high tech" when we strap a cell phone to the handlebars so we know where the F we are going.

Waste... tell that to the guy who's tossed his white spacer and his mpg has tanked... oh but the grin he says.
