There was an accident at another facility close by recently but it was deemed jumper error (he was a solo jumper not tandem). Thankfully this jump was with the Army Silverwings jump team and they are pretty well organized.

He didn't buy me a drink, but I did have to smoke a cigarette afterwards Grin

Actually the whole family was there and my dad and brothers and sisters (minus one sister) and wife all jumped too. It was a gift to my dad from his co-workers at the Army Corp of Engineers and they let all of us kids tag along too. This was my 4th jump and my big brother's 2nd jump, but the 1st for everyone else and we all had a really good time thanks to the kindness of the tandem instructors and jump master there.
