I don't think anyone here looks upon her actions as anything but noble.

However, her attire is mostly inappropriate.

Further, she's fighting against bullying in all forms, yet her husband is the single biggest, bully in North America.

Those types of things should make everyone scrutinize her a little more than normal.

I haven't seen anyone ignore what the First Lady does.

Anyone can do a good job at something and dress in a way that is inappropriate for that job.

I do not have an opinion on what the current First Lady is doing in regards to her "job" but I can say her clothing choice with the jacket was poor. If that jacket said "I really hate guns, Do U?" then all the sudden a whole other demographic would be complaining about her anti-gun agenda instead of focusing on the job she is doing.
