So I have stripped my 87 down to nothing but an engine and a frame.  I will being pulling the engine this week and after that it's on to blasting and paint.  I do need to remove the steering lock.  I don't have the key but I have a locksmith who is willing to pick it for me but after that how do I remove it.  I have 2 different manuals for the bike and didn't see it mentioned in either one.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just drill it off. Really easy and takes about 15 minutes.
