I am not sure if this is the same carb kit I have gotten from you before, if it isn't I will take two.  If it is the same then disregard as I still have one waiting on a shelf.

I will buy your 95mm pistons.

What would have to be "adjusted" with this carb for it to work properly on a RYCA modified LS650?

Will the RYCA-supplied K&N filter fit this carb?

What kind of performance improvements would be typical with this carb kit?

There are no modifications needed for the VM carb to work with a RYCA mod’d bike.  I assume your engine is still a stock engine, and if so then everything needed to hook up the VM carb is included in the kit, which is basically a remove and replace.  I know I’ve talked with before but cannot remember if you did engine mods before.
My Savage has a partial RYCA mod and the RYCA battery holder is the only part that affects the carb at all.  The carb/filter is directly in front of it.  I have a 36mm VM with a Uni foam filter that has the outer red portion removed.  That decreases the width about 1-1.5” but the length is still the same.  The foam filter is squishable so is pretty easy to install/remove on the carb.  Otherwise, there are no issues with the VM carb, just typical final jetting & tuning to your engine.

The air filter that RYCA supplied for the stock carb will not fit the VM carb.  The stock unit has a 57mm OD And the VM has a 63mm OD on the filter side.

There is a significant increase in engine responsiveness with the VM carb.  The total  power increase with just the carb change is moderate but noticeable.  The carb design is more simple than a stock CV carb and that makes it easier and simpler to work on.  If you still have the stock muffler then by swapping for even just a HD Dyna/Sportster unit will add a bit more to your overall performance.

Lancer,

I have sent you an email a few days ago, no reply yet  Huh.

My bike:

2016 S40
Dyna with 3/4" hole in baffles (can see though)
Lancer Jet kit - 152, 52.5
Uniflow foam filter

Which carb should I get with the above bike setup, the 36 or 38mm?
What carb upgrades UFO/DAJ/TW you recommend / are a must?

Does the carb come pretty much good to go and pre-jetted where you just remove the old one, and connect the new?
