Barber's Vintage Festival Next Weekend

This is in Leeds (Birmingham) Alabama about 90 minutes from my house.  It is an outstanding event if you have never been before.

Anyone going on Saturday 6 October?  I'll probably be there for the day.

MM, I'm going to look-it-all up and probably drool on a few things too!

Work and life have been super busy here, but hopefully we can get in a Fall ride sometime before it gets too chilly. I assume you didn't have to get that bum leg chopped off and trade the Guzzi for a sissy trike?

Don't laugh too hard at this, but:  Pot legalization in Canada starts Oct.17. You may have heard that the stock market in Canada has gone bonkers for pot stocks. Gains of 1000% have been common.
I have never used pot, or seen it in person, but I am an investor in pot stocks!!
As an investor, the US Border Patrol views people like me as profiteers in a criminal enterprise, and I risk banishment from your country for life. Consequently, I had to cancel my visit to Barber, I've done 4 previously and met some of you.
Until the situation changes, I'm stuck.
Have a great time, wish I was there!!! Cool

Even executives of greenhouse suppliers have been banned already:

I'm not prepared to be the first investor banned!
ps: Stew:  those 'tank liners' really stink! Cool

Na. , Stew

No relaps or nothing .

Fact is , I even bought a 2007 GS500 with 16,500 ish miles.    Original plan was to sell it in the spring ...  Undecided ...  if I keep it I'll have to put tires on it.   It lacks a little more fixing right now .    Roll Eyes

OK....back to the topic at hand.

I am a definite probably.

If the weather allows, I will leave on Thursday afternoon/evening and get most of the way.  The next morning I will finish the ride and get to Stew's in the early afternoon.

Then do Barber's on Saturday.....then head home on Sunday.

Weather may alter the schedule as necessary.

Woo Hoo....I have been wanting to go to Barber's Festival for years - but work has always gotten in the way!

The Museum will soak up a day! You'll need at least 2 days for everything. 2 hours to walk through the racing pits, 2 hours for the swap meet, 1/2 hour at Wall of Death, 1 hour at Ace Cafe Corner etc, etc, etc. Motorcycle Classics magazine will have a booth near Triumph tent.Charge up your camera! cheers! Cool

MM - That offer is great, it resolves where to stay and how to break up the long interstate ride.  The trip to Stews is just short of 10 hours (537 miles) according to Mapquest - stopping by your house only adds 1.5 hours and 70 miles of travel time - plus I get to stop and visit with you and Marcia!

Tentatively I will plan on leaving on Thursday.....what time is "Check In" at the "MMRanch Manor"?
