Just another hole.........

I wanted a smaller boat I can use more readily, as well as take the grand kids tubing and skiing on as they grow up.
This is much easier to tow than the big one, and much better on fuel.

The boat was pretty much in great condition, as the original owner got cancer a few years after he bought it, and rarely used it.
It has only seen freshwater on the Columbia River, which is where I drove to buy it from his widow.
I had to put in a new fuel pump, as the diaphragm was shot from sitting.
It runs great, a very fun boat to drive!  Smiley

Yeah, yeah, I get it, break out another thousand.....
Get a life, fools.

That would be " Another Hole in your Wallet "

I completely understand  ,  I just bought a 2007 GS500 w/16,500 miles that was kind-of run-down by its last owner.

I hope your boat don't need as much TLC as my new project !  Grin

Nope, this baby is SWEET.....

The cushions in the cabin don't look like they have ever been sit on even.
I would be surprised if the motor/drive had over 100 hours.
The paint on the outdrive is a good indicator of use/hours.
It looks brand new still, even the zincs show absolutely no degrading.

The oil was still like new in all systems.

The remark was aimed at those who chimed in with their snipe and snivel at my post earlier with my other BIG boat stuff.  Wink

I like the inboard / outboard boats.

It has happened to most of us Raydawg:  We start out with a bike or boat and get hooked.  Then get a bigger bike/boat for more room, more comfort, more power - then miss the fun of the smaller bike/boat and end up buying a one to fill the "small" gap.  It is all good fun and you worked hard to get to this place in your life.

I enjoy owning motorcycles and buying/fixing/riding them - and then after a year or two it may get sold and I buy something different.  Until recently the bikes were all bought pretty cheap and sold for a small profit or at a "break even" amount......kind of like those single years where I got to go out on dates!  (My Savage Cafe is going to stay with me until I am too old/crippled to ride anymore.....and even then it may stay with my as a "I remember when" item).

Thank Dave, love your analogy....

I wish I could say I learned the wisdom of it years ago, but I can't.
Lots of reasons why folks are stubborn in mind and actions, which sadly only hurts themselves.

Ray,
I have owned a few boats but the best one wasn't the biggest. I wish I had learned that earlier. The right size works out to be the best in the end.

Enjoy your new toy. I looks like a great boat. Smiley
