New headlight
09/09/18 at 19:59:44
Hello all. I have a stock 2014 with only the necessary mods so far, the raptor and seat height but now I need some advice on a good replacement headlight. This stock bulb stinks, I need more light. Would consider a led upgrade but I think just a better halogen would work.
Thanks

Thank you for the link, I was just thinking of upgrading the bulb itself. I do not due a lot of night driving but do want more visibility in general.

You can install a Sylvania Silverstar - they are brighter and whiter....unfortunately they don't last all that long (about 12,000 miles/one year in my car).
If you want to get an LED - don't buy just any cheap one as the light control is very important. Some of them scatter the light in very uneven patterns, and some of them don't work with the rubber dust/moisture boot.
The best "affordable" one I have found is this one from Lasfit. It has good light output and a good vertical cut off for the low beam. I have only been able to find them sold in pairs.....maybe you can find a friend that needs one and split the cost.

My current favorite bulb is this one from Superbright LED - more money but better light control and light output.

I am trying out the Cyclops.....lots of money - so far I am not convinced it is worth the money.
