Most of the smoke in my area is from British Columbia. The smoke has been so thick for days it’s like fog, except it’s warm out, and makes your eyes sting. No let up until maybe this weekend. S Carolina is a good place to live, I spent 25 years there. I only moved to be near my mom during her last years. My wife and I will return after she passes.
I lived in the greater Columbia area. There are plenty of hospitals and clinics everywhere. Very good care.
And they have a lot of good beaches...Myrtle Beach’s. 😁

You could taste the smoke yesterday evening, yuk.
Woke to cars dusted with ash.
Hopefully we have a change approaching soon.
My eyes feel gritty, and my lungs raw.
It zaps my energy.
Not fun.

That is my tribe.
I haven't been yet, but thinking I will pass through their in the future.
It looks great.
I get my monthly news letters, they are doing great things for the local community, it appears.

Move to North Carolina and buy a house on Lake Santeetlah!

It is right smack dab in the middle of the great riding areas in TN, NC and GA. We would come visit you on a regular basis.....maybe 3 - 4 times a summer!

I live in KY about 6 hours farther north, MMRanch is about 5 hours farther west, Stewmills is about 5 hours southwest in AL.

That area of the country has a lot of lakes and mountains that make it very attractive to visit or live.......maybe the constant flow of tourists would get tiring after a while.
