Reduce Vibration at highway speeds

I couldn't find a thread on this topic, so if there is one feel free to point me there.
How can I reduce vibration when traveling at 75-80 mph? After 5+ miles I feel like Jell-O and after 20 miles I can barely walk.
I switched to iso grips with end weights, which helps with my hands. But my floorboards and seat make me feel like I'm getting a rigerous power massage.
I don't do a lot of highway riding but it would be nice to pop on the interstate to get to nearby towns occasionally.
I'm 125 lbs, so not much to weight it down.

Check your engine to frame mounting bolts. Use a torque wrench. I think some have to be 60 ft. lbs. ( I think ) Large boots with gel insoles also help.

If the bolts on the top motor mount above the head are loose - that has been reported to make for excess vibration.

Little town nearby has a radar/speed you're going thing. With the front pulley swap, and a Metzler on, it's got the speedometer calibrated, and it is more relaxed.

Depends on who made it.
Dunlop fits, but Metzler is so meaty that the stock size fills up the fender. You Might get a size taller in it, but the bolts would have to be changed, and that might not be enough.
I'd hate to own a $100.00ish tire I couldn't use..
But I have 5,000 miles on the metzler and it's not even almost squared off. No other tire has made 5k and not been looking like it was time to start thinking about when to get a new one.

The problem I have with the 150/90....is the tire is incredibly heavy. All that rotating weight slows the bike down - in acceleration, braking and turning, and it also adds unsprung weight that affects handling in a negative way.

First off, this is a BIG single, so it's gonna buzz, rattle, shake and vibrate. There ain't no stopping it. There are things you can do to lesson the annoyance of it all:
- HAVE THE TIRES BALANCED. This is the number-one reason for vibration over 60 mph. Old tires get hard and make for a poor ride. How old are your tires?
- Set up the suspension for your weight and riding style. In stock form, the Savage suspension is about the lowest spec suspension available. Proper springs and fresh oil with the sag correctly set will do wonders for ride and handling. The shocks are garbage...not much you can do with them other then replace them.
- Service (grease) the swing arm and axles.
- make sure that the bike is in proper tune. A clean airfilter, properly adjusted valves, a properly jetted carb and a fresh sparkplug can go a long way in smoothing out unwanted vibes.
- New handgrips and foot pegs can help. So will a custom gel seat.
- Head porting, especially on the exhaust side will help.

Thanks! I'm going to start with checking the engine to frame mounting bolts and getting gel insoles for my boots.
The tires are oem and 4 years old. I planned to replace them in the spring, so I'll look into the 150/90-15 rear tire.
It just got a tune up, new spark plug, and jetted about a month ago. It's pretty much stock. I added iso grips and floorboards. I don't notice the vibration for short 1-2 mile blips up to 85, but once I get on the freeway and hit 75 for 5+ miles, my goodness.
The Kawasaki front pulley sounds like a good switch.

I would strongly suggest moving from the stock 140/80 to the 140/90.....rather than the 150/90. I know the 140/90-15 Michelin Commander will work with the Kawasaki front pulley - but it just barely misses the cross member on the swing arm......I doubt if you can use the Kawasaki pulley if you go to the 150/90 tire.
A 140/90 tire is approved for use on the stock 2.75" wide rim - a 150/90 is not recommended for anything less than 3" wide.

Or you could slow down to a more reasonable speed (legal) of 65-70 ,steady cruise at 75-80 is pushing the bike rather hard ,88 to 94% of it's stock rated speed. 70 mph gives you a nearly 20% reserve for passing, or hazard avoidance ( 80 mph will give nearly zero as the bike will gain speed very slowly).

Without some rpm lowering change your engine will blow oil at those speeds. Keep an eye that.
