Can you point me to the portion indicating that California, not Oregon has lessened their fire mitigation process from before? Also that CA is using less mitigation as opposed to poor mitigation.

I made a direct correlation to Colorado as an example stating that the methods are different, and as much so is funding and resource allocation. The claim that California, specifically the state of California has done less quantitatively to mitigate fires in a recent timeline than a timeline before, extending approximately 50 years. I estimate 50 years as you indicated you are over 60.

The only thing I see in that article related to CA is that the recent fires are possibly due to mismanagement, not global warming. That comparison is specifically to modern mitigation process and global warming, not modern mitigation being less than past mitigation.

If the claim was mismanagement and not quantitatively less then I would be more prone to agree as I have seen information from reliable sources about that in the past.

I guess since there's nothing in the article that indicates California is doing less mitigation as you proposed, the only way to respond is to make casual attempts at berating my character as an employer. I don't know why this is an issue to you, or at least one you need to keep bringing up.

It's time for the policy makers to quit trying to
Protect Nature
To the extent that they are.
It's CLEARLY time to get aggressive with clearing out dead crap, and thinning.
That's gonna be a lot bigger job than a fire break around the house.

They do not mitigate the same way as the topography is different, CO for instance has to be very cognizant of burn scars. I can not say that CA needs to do more, since its not even known if they have done less.
