This group, Q anon, is apparently spreading nutty conspiracy theories that attack Democrat leaders and Hollywood.
They have appeared at Trump rallies and have a growing internet presence.
None of their assertions have proven true,... in fact they have all been proven false,... and mostly ludicrous... Yet, they have been repeated by the likes of Hannity and Alex Jones...

"Pizzagate" conspiracy theory originated on fringe Internet sites before emerging in the mainstream.  And lead to a 28-year-old North Carolina man walking into a popular Washington, D.C. pizzeria and firing several shots from an AR-15.
Q anon has inspired some nut driving an armored vehicle and carrying two firearms to shut down a highway near the Hoover Dam while holding a sign reading "Release the OIG report."

Nut theories and nuts with guns don't mix,.. but they go hand in hand.
This is dangerous stuff...

QAnon is terrifying. This is why.

They also seem to be fixated on accusing people of being pedophiles...

A problem with the article is that it tries to alienate and belittle the group, which tend to have the opposite effect of what the writer(s) wanted. It is also more opinions than facts.

Personally, I have never managed to understand why people will gather in large groups or why they want a leader to follow. I've never had a role model, never wanted one.

While large groups have the potential to do lots of good, my experience is that the opposite tend to happen, whether it is sport supporters, religious groups or militant groups. Or any other large fraction. YMMV.
