On a stock Savage seat, which would be better for all day comfort, A gel or air type cushion ?  I'm 5 ft, 8in, about 180 lbs.

I tried a replacement gel seat ,and didn't find it to be any better than a stock one, never tried the air seat but it may work better as you can adjust the pressure (I think? )

I agree with batman.  I once cut up a perfectly good seat to insert a gel cushion and found it to be no improvement.  I've never used an air cushion but everyone who does seems to like them.  They say that the Airhawk cushions work best with very little air pressure.

Look at alaskaleather.com.  I have one of their short pile seat covers and really love it. Not a giant amount of cushion, but cool and comfy even in the summer like a pilots seat cover.
