Help in buying brake pads
06/18/18 at 16:26:47

My 2015 Suzuki S40 is due for a set of front brake pads.  I've seen on this site that EBC organic brake pads are good brakes.  I would be open to your thoughts on where to purchase them ... or an equivalent brand of equal quality.  I've seen websites with these brake pads for sale, but would prefer buying from a source that people on this site have used.  I assume prices and shipping could vary so your experience would be helpful.  Thanks for any help you can provide.

i bought these to replace stock due to the noise they made, fit perfect and almost no noise unless they get damp overnight.

Yep....the EBC FA106 organic pads work very well on the Savage.  They are gentle on the disc, and they don't squeal like the stock pads.

the best ones I've gotten are "X" brand.
half the price.
any "kevlar" brake pad will do.

Thanks for your help.  Will probably buy EBC brake pads from my local Suzuki dealer.  From what I've seen online, the local dealership price is within the ball park.  Appreciate all of the responses.

Versy:

Is this the set you like?
https://www.amazon.com/EBC-Brakes-FA106X-Disc-Brake/dp/B00666BNRG

I used them once, and they felt like "wood" and the lever required a lot of pressure to make them work.

Maybe I got a bad set - but my experience was not good and I took them off and put on the EBC FA 106.

No, these are EBC, I like "X" brand.
Also, I think these are carbon instead of Kevlar or organic.
