An historic event . No president has managed to get a meeting with the Norks. Except Trump.
He's pushing for an actual peace treaty between the north and south. Inspections to verify, and IF that works out, we could see less Need for military. It costs FORTUNES to rattle sabers every year, to show Kim he better be good. That's being a bully, and wasteful of YOUR MONEY.

not accurate, no president has MET with NK leader. They've never HAD to. Trump's underlings couldn't get it done, probably because Trump continuously undermines them with his tweet and mouth every time they say anything...

meanwhile, in history, look it up... Both the Clinton Administration and the W. Bush administration had deals with NK previously

I partially agree with you about the joint defense exercises, I just think Trump gave them up too soon without actually getting anything in return.

The only gamble that donaldo made was that his base and sycophantic republican lackies will continue to believe or pretend to believe his blatant lies. Mind you that wasn't really much of a gamble.

When you say no president "managed" what you mean is Kim had not previously managed to get any US president to legitimise his murderous regime. Kim has been gagging for legitimacy since ever. So it's not like it took some stable genius, it just took a fool like donaldo who doesn't have a clue what he's doing. Sucks up to the US's enemies and trashes it's allies.

And what 'verifications' are you referring to, there are none mentioned in the signed agreement. Although verified dismantling of weapons and shipping it out of the country was verified for Iran.

Well yes, it is an historical event, it's also hysterical too, historical stupidity is not something to be proud of.
