Getting close now, just 7 more work days until I retire.....
Funny, I though you would just walk away and that would be the end of it....
Had no idea retiring is harder, almost, than getting hired.
No kidding, that F it attitude I often embrace, ya know, I can fix it with a bigger hammer, mentality, is almost winning out....
Not to make light of it, but it must be similar to how a batter spouse feels about changing their lives 🤔
Perhaps like most things in life, when we start making assumptions about things we have yet to “know” for certain, that nagging negativity is waiting to pop our buzz 😫

True story.....
I just sit on my butt because I have no plane to work on.
I was moved to the brand new aircraft, the 777X, final assembly.
Tooling is not even finished to support the aircraft as we finish building it.
I sit for 8 hours, boring, looking at my iPhone, etc.
I went over to a different building yesterday, my old job/position, a few years ago.
They were short a head, so, knowing the job package, I told them I would do the task, work "flew" by (pun intended).
I texted my manager/lead, what I was doing, later that day, as I was leaving, I checked back in with them and they were sorta bugged I did that, that I worked elsewhere....
I dunno, maybe I am missing sumtin, but I feel better when I earn my pay.
I wasn't trying to dis anyone or avoid anything I was s'pose to be doing.
In all honesty, I think it has to do with a higher up policy, where if I got hurt, or I damaged the plane, while working on it, it would require a butt-load of paperwork in tying in/explaining my presences on a job I am not tasked to do....when you get into finance/budgeting, those folks get weird.....
You gotta have a column to put data, I guess, can't let any numbers just hang around Grin
