Thanks Batz for the confirmation. Thanks Armen for the tip on engagement. I’ve used your technique on sockets that I used on Harley front pulley nuts. I know where your coming from. If you don’t square off that edge it will take the corners right off the nut. I found that it’s way easier to modify if you anneal it with a torch first. Those sockets are tough cookies. Thanks Fast for the tip on extension. I am familiar with that too. Used it on the same Harley pulley nut rig. I cut through the socket with a six inch disc grinder. It’s messy and time consuming but hey, what ya gonna do, huh.
