Petrol / gas coming oit from Engine Oil outlet (Read 40 times)

When i opened a oil plug/ bolt then petrol and engine oil mixed together comes out.... What should be the problem?? Pls help Regrads, Shahid

It is probably 1 of a couple of things:

1) When the diaphragm in the stock petcock fails, it allows fuel to flow down the vacuum line to the carb, and the fuel then either flows into the engine or airbox (or both).

2) If you have replaced the manual petock with the recommended Raptor petcock and you are still having the problem - you likely have something wrong with the needle/seat in the carb (and are not turning your fuel off when you park the bike).

If you have the stock petcock - buy and install a Rapto, as the stock petcock will fail eventually. If you buy it on eBay avoid the $6 ones as they are Chinese copies. Buy the original Yamaha part - it will come in a white box and have a Yamaha name and part number 5LP-24500-01-00....it should be around $28 and is money well spent.

The carb leaks fuel to the cylinder, and the fuel seeps through the piston rings to the oil galley.
