the problem you have is that "gender" isn't determined biologically, "sex" is.

Maybe life is more complicated now that we have our heads out of the sand....
We know these people are out there,... and they must be dealt with.
With bathrooms we have an A or B choice and neither seems an appropriate fit for all.
Given that fact,... it is perhaps best to let the individual decide.
It's been happening that way forever,... and we just weren't aware.
Now that we are aware, it's a problem... so is the awareness the problem?...

That's because you are self limiting your strength based on your self imposed definitions of society. You're isolating yourself by not accepting others into "your society" and passing laws to alienate them and make them feel unaccepted when they just want the same respect you give others, since you aren't giving it to them, they are re-acting badly as outcasts.

and yes, some of them do the same to you, everyone does it, it takes a truly strong society to accept others, stronger together than divided.

AND, Because that is what, ’they’ wanted to do.

(Just like you know where every gas station is in 75-100 miles, where someone else, may know every 300 +/- miles)
