The funny thing is though that even if it were true that would simply be the FBI doing you know like their job. Remember manafort and page both already had russian links.

They could have announced that they were already investigating trump's russian links but they don't comment on ongoing investigations and they broke that established DOJ policy by announcing another clinton email lead, which ultimately came to nothing. So the FBI helped that idiot trump. It's a bit rich to claim they tried to undermine his campaign.
This is all about the investigation getting uncomfortably close to the bone, especially now that manaforts ex son in law is now going to testify against manafort, ratcheting up the pressure.
PS do notice how no one is saying the 'thoughts and prayers' platitudes any longer, proving that official responses are crafted by PR people who got the message last time that 'thoughts and prayers' has now been deemed worse than saying nothing.
